The University of Utah and Utah Telehealth Network (UTN) have received their third consecutive Regional Telehealth Resource Center grant from HRSA, continuing their leadership in expanding telehealth access across the Northwest.
The University of Utah and the Utah Telehealth Network (UTN) have once again been awarded the Regional Telehealth Resource Center (TRC) grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Office for the Advancement of Telehealth (OAT). This four-year award marks the third consecutive grant won by UTN, continuing a successful seven-year track record. UTN operates as part of the Utah Education and Telehealth Network (UETN), which provides critical broadband infrastructure and services to education, healthcare, and broadcast sites throughout Utah.
This renewed funding will support UTN’s continued operation of the Northwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center (NRTRC), one of 14 federally designated TRCs across the country. The NRTRC provides education, technical assistance and resources to healthcare providers and organizations throughout the northwestern United States—including Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming and Utah—with a strong emphasis on serving rural and frontier communities.
“We are honored to carry this work forward and deeply appreciate HRSA’s ongoing support,” said Spencer Jenkins, CEO of UETN. “This grant empowers us to expand access to high-quality healthcare through telehealth, especially in underserved and remote areas.” This renewed award reinforces the University of Utah and UTN’s national leadership in advancing telehealth innovation, fostering collaboration and building healthcare capacity—ensuring patients across the region receive timely, effective care regardless of location.
